Bulk Bag Conditioning
Bulk Bag Conditioning: In-Use Advantages
NBE bulk bag conditioning components are designed to integrate directly into new NBE bulk bag dischargers. NBE fully-integrated bulk bag conditioning components speed the completion of bulk bag loading, conditioning, discharging, and unloading cycles by up to 25% when compared to the same cycle of loading and unloading a free-standing conditioner, then loading and unloading a separate bulk bag unloader. When factored over an 8-hour shift, this reduction in cycle times can increase the number of bulk bag load-to-unload cycles by up to 30%.
NBE integral bulk bag conditioning components can be individually designed into NBE bulk bag dischargers, or integrated together to provide efficient flow control for even the most difficult solidified material. Other NBE accessories, such as bag loop retractors and spout lump deblockers can also be designed into NBE bulk bag dischargers to further reduce bag cycle times, increase operator safety, and improve total line operation.

Bulk Bag Conditioning: Features & Integration Guide
Massage Paddles:
NBE massage paddles are designed to loosen material that, while stored in the bulk bag, has become severely case hardened. Pneumatic cylinder action presses the two, contoured massage paddles together against the sides and bottom of the bulk bag forcing the material to break up and flow through the bulk bag discharge spout.

Deblocking Rams:
NBE deblocking rams work to break up severely agglomerated material that often results from storing or shipping material in bulk bags. Two hydraulic cylinders drive the rams, in a controlled action, together to reduce the material to a size that will pass through the bag discharge spout. Ram platen configurations can be custom-manufactured to specific material requirements.

Spout Lump Deblocker:
NBE spout lump deblockers use two, opposing curved plates to break apart dry bulk material lumps that may wedge in the discharge spout of a bulk bag. The pneumatic cylinders simultaneously retract each plate to deblock the trapped, agglomerated material. Delumped material and the remaining material in the bag flow freely into the downstream processes.

Each paddle is actuated by a 6" bore pneumatic cylinder that raises the paddle to a vertical position with the flow aid portion of the paddle reaching 15° past vertical.
